A healthcare facility specializing in oncology infusion services is seeking a skilled IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support their outpatient oncology department. This role requires expertise in chemotherapy preparation and administration within an infusion center setting, focusing on treatmentsfor hematology patients.
Location
- Marietta, GA (must be willing to travel or relocate; candidates living within a 50-mile radius of Marietta are not eligible)
Schedule / Hours
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Duration
- 13-week contract starting March 23
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments, excluding blood transfusions
- Perform IV starts and access implanted ports as part of infusion procedures
- Collaborate closely with oncology care teams to ensure safe handling and delivery of medications
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines specific to oncology pharmacy operations
Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
- Certified Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician (Chemo Cert) required
- Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license
- Demonstrated ability to perform IV starts and access implanted ports
- Strong knowledge of outpatient oncology infusion protocols and safety standards
